A website everyone can use

Last reviewed: October 2026

Our commitment

We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA, and we treat accessibility as part of how the site is built and maintained, not an afterthought.

What we have done

• Text and buttons use colors with enough contrast to read comfortably, including a darker green for text and links.
• Every part of the site can be used with a keyboard, with a visible focus outline and a “skip to content” link.
• The main menu works as an accessible dialog: it traps focus while open and closes with the Escape key.
• Images that carry meaning have text descriptions, and decorative images are hidden from screen readers.
• Form fields have visible labels, required fields are marked, and errors are explained in text.
• Animations and transitions are reduced or switched off if your device is set to reduce motion.
• Pages adapt to phones, tablets and zoomed text without content being cut off.

Known limitations

Some content comes from other organizations and may not fully meet the same standard, including the secure payment field provided by Stripe on our Give Now page, the Google Maps map on our Contact page, and documents or websites from event partners. We are also continuing to improve descriptions for older event photos.
