About 19,000 young athletes and their families came to Greensboro for the AAU Junior Olympic Games, one of the largest youth multi-sport events in the country.
Competition spread across the city: track and field and the opening ceremony at North Carolina A&T, swimming at the Greensboro Aquatic Center, and gymnastics, martial arts, fencing, dance and more at the Greensboro Coliseum Complex. It was Greensboro's third time hosting the Games, after 2019 and 2022.
